King Size Slim recording sessions and continued touring

Amongst a run of successful summer festival performances Toby Barelli has been busily laying down tracks at Rimshot Studio for the forthcoming King Size Slim album. Using a more varied palate of sound than on previous King Size Slim recordings full production began in August. An 19th century pump organ rescued from a deconsecrated church has become the centre piece of some sessions alongside some rare percussion instruments, resonator guitars and marching drums.

Work continues into autumn to complete the album for a scheduled November completion date with promotional tour dates planned for early 2013 supported by a distribution deal with Europes largest independent distributor Proper Music Distribution.

Live support slots for ‘Marcus Bonfanti’, the acclaimed ‘Groanbox’ , and Pentangle’s ‘John Renbourn’ in advance of the new release have seen Toby Barelli well received by new audiences across the UK.Other live highlights of the summer include Chilli Petes Fiery Food Festival in Brighton and ,the souths best kept secret, Small World Festival.
