Ring…ring…. “Hello Toby, have you got a gig tomorrow night?…… Good, could you come to Westminster Hall and do the warm-up slot for QUEEN”. In a happy twist to the end of 2014, the above conversation occurred on 30th December.
The last minute call came from the “Queen will Rock you” event production team who had seen a KING SIZE SLIM show some months before at an Arts Centre Venue on the south coast. To be part of the largest single event in the UK for NYE ’14 is a fantastic opportunity and KING SIZE SLIM rose to the occasion warming the crowd nicely with an explosive solo set before the much anticipated main act. A new fan in audience was quoted as saying “King size is a bloody GENIUS! really great NYE show and worked the crowd wonderfully”
Queens legendary guitar player Brian May had this to say to Toby in a pre-show green room conversation “They showed me your video clips, Great stuff!,just go out there and give it to them!”
